Find the best eSIM deal for your next trip to Iran

Every year, Iran attracts many visitors for its ancient Persian ruins adventures, and Islamic architectural wonders, and a touch of grand bazaars. If you're heading there soon, I've got some connectivity tips for you.

Because you won't be able to use your home mobile data as usual in Iran, you'll probably want to get an eSIM instead. These can be downloaded and installed right from your phone ahead of time and offer affordable rates while you're abroad (certainly at least compared to roaming).

The travel eSIM market in Iran is a market with limited competition, we found only 7 providers offering a limited set of plans (from 0.5GB to unlimited), which puts the country in 144/236 position on our global Simsurf Index (you can find more market insights at the end of the page).

With as many as 40 different eSIM plans on the market according to our comparison (often with minimal differences), finding the best among them can seem tricky. That's why my team and I here at Simsurf have tested all of the eSIM providers available in Iran ourselves and shared our highlights below!
